What is there to do around LAX in Los Angeles?
I have about a ten hour stop at LAX with my brother and my ten year old daughter Friday. I really don't mind, but my brother (yeah, he's an adult!) will go stir crazy sitting around that long.
Is there anything to do nearby that doesn't involve renting a car? I mean, even an internet cafe, a movie theater... something we can do during that time?
yes you could go to Santa Monica Pier
you do this by getting on a Lax "Lot C:" bus take this bus
to the City Bus center (then board a Santa Monica (blue bus)Line 3 (or
the Rapid 3) cost is 75cents person Please have exact fare
ready) both buses will take you to Colorado/4th and its about 3 block way to the pier
line 3 runs about every 10 minutes (with the rapid (runs only peak hours every 15 minutes)
if you want to access the internet -there is a fedex Kinkos
in marina del rey (in fact its the one I work at)
where you can use the computer
or you could catch a movie (either in Santa Monica or
at the Howard Hughes centers
(which is serviced by Culver city 6 bus (Green Bus)
