How to Frame/Hang Large Painting Cheaply?
Hi Folks, I just received a large painting for Christmas - some 60 inches x 31 inches, and I'm not sure how to display it.
None of the store bought frames are large enough, and if I go the custom route it will likely cost $400-600. There are sites which sell custom frames but they don't include the matting or the plexiglass.
It's a really nice piece so I'm hesitant to just suspend it using pins or binder clips. I worry that that will expose the picture to the elements and also warp the canvas after a while.

If it is a canvas painting is it on a board or on stretcher bars?
If it is on stretcher bars you can make an inexpensive strip frame out of lattice strips.
