i have to write a paper analyzing a movie poster. the example we were given was the movie poster for the film hard candy because of the little red riding imagery as well was the fact that the girl looks like bait in a trap for a predator and in this day in age we think of predator as a sexual predator, things like that. i just need a poster that has a lot of elements!

well i can recommend an artist who specializes in poster art, Drew Struzan, who did alot of work with Lucas and Spielberg on Star Wars and Indiana Jones, both have very exciting poster art, full of drama. Try Bade Runner that is another by him and is in my opinion his most effective, that's if you don't have to understand the movie, in that case your screwed. Disney film posters are also often Quiet good it you want the whole movie summed up in one image. Also some of the posters for Scorsese's movies such as Taxi Driver and Raging Bull are effective. Taxi driver has De Niro walk alone on a new york street and evokes a sense of outcast and loneliness in this character, Travis Bickle, in the seedy and busy streets of New York, you can really expand on that one. Raging Bull is just a portrait picture of De Niro, again!? I know but its Scorsese, playing Jake La Motta with a face which epitomizes the entirety of the mans life in the ring and out, but that's a arty farty way of looking at it.
