Please tell me how to get back all Apps when they've been lost on iTunes during accidental "restore".?
I was syncing my Grandson's iPod Touch and working at the same time when I noticed his Pod was rebooting. I had seen something come up about "restore" but it was only a flash and I didn't instruct the system to do anything. Anyway, when we turned the iPod back on all his Apps were gone!!! Music, both purchased and loaded by us, all games, videos the works. All except his photos, which remained. I have written iTunes six times but they won't answer me. I cannot figure out how to restore his Apps and he is very upset about it (he's nine). I now know it was restored to factory settings. Complicating matters, I have an iPod on the same account and though it shows both devises, I am afraid I could end up with my apps on his iPod. Imagine...My Frank Sinatra tunes replacing his "Big Time Rush" or "Mahjong" replacing "Avatar" and you will understand!
The iPod has not been tampered with, or "jail broke" by the way...
If the ipod was "wacked" then the only way to restore everything that was on it is from the computer
when he originally put music videos and games n what not on the ipod...he had to do this through a computer...
that computer should still have all his purchases music apps etc
if everyone is on the same computer... take time to set up separate accounts with separate folders for each individuals content... and in those accounts everyone should be able to set up their itunes independently from one another provided they tell itunes "where johnnys music is" in johnnys windows account for example
again all the content should still be on the original computer that he used to upload it
your job is to find and sort that content... then set up an itunes for him
then load all his content into that itunes...authorizing whatever needs to be authorized
and then syncing his ipod to that account of itunes
Once more, this can all be accomplished on the same PC..and gets a lot easier if everyone has their own windows account and sets up their folders Independently from other users
