I would have mentioned this in the celebrities section but I figured maybe this may be right place considered his cult martial arts status and most kids don't know much about him today.
I like his movies but I have heard that he is a dick in real-life; from mis-treating his bodyguards, taking total control over (diva) on his movie sets, and ignoring fans.
I met Jean Claude about 10 years ago right when his celeb status was beginning to wane. It is true that he has a tendancy to be rude to people that he does not know but most of this is because he has insecurity issues...yes even some famous people do not thing they are any good at things.
He is rather arrogant and has a tendency to be very pompous but I enjoyed the conversation we had over lunch and he seemed very calm, down to earth and a decent guy overall. He was skeptical when I first began talking with him because he did not know me but after a few minutes and finding out that I did not want his autograph but rather to talk about Karate with him he opened up and had a great sense of humor.
I have heard about his temper tantrums on his sets but cannot verify that. Sorry.
