How do I get permission to use movie images on a website?
I want to create a web community centered around movies that people like to see. When I post a review of a film I would like to be able to show the DVD cover art, poster, etc. of that film. I think it would make the site much more enjoyable. I envision this webpage as blog, not an e-commerce place for buying dvds and such.
Usually you post the image anyway, and only take it down if a company( and they prove they are who they say they are) asks you to take it down. I have been running a"final fantasy" site for over 4 years now, and have had no trouble. Square Enix( the owner of the "Final Fantasy" copyright) has yet to send me a "cease and desist" letter, and they do go after those who they feel impose on their copyright. Most companies don't bother^_^ .
