Another young actress raised up famous is Mia Wasikowska. She was born in Canberra, Australia on October 14, 1989. Her mother is Poland and her father is an Australian. Mia was known when she played in HBO TV series In Treatment. Apparently, before she landed in some movies and TV series, Mia took ballet school since the age of nine to fifteen. In her age of fourteen, she began turned away from ballet.
It was started in 2004, when Mia rolled first time in an Australian soup All Saints. Later in 2006, she appeared in Suburban Mayhem in which it led her nominated for a young Actor's AFI Awards. Furthermore, she also played in several Australian movies and horror movie Rogue. After her rolled in In Treatment, she directly had her first supporting role in American film industry in Defiance alongside with Daniel Craig. Defiance's director commented in casting Mia. "Her inner life is so vivid that it comes across even when she's being still." After that she landed to role in another movie Amelia as Elinor Smith alongside with Hilary Swank. To expand her existence, Mia Wasikowska also rolled in indie film That Evening Sun with Hal Holbrook. As a result, from his acting she was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress in Independent Spirit Awards.
Alice in Wonderland marked her success in July 2008. Mia was chosen by Tim Burton, to play as a leading role in sensational movie Alice in Wonderland. After long searching, finally it was Mia's time to fame. She had a chance to act with a senior actor Johnny Deep, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway. As a matter of fact, through her role in Alice in Wonderland, she got good appreciations from several Medias such as The Hollywood Reporter, Variety and New York Magazine.
