I am looking at buying an Acer Aspire AS5750-6602 at Best Buy for my first laptop. I was wondering if that was actually good quality, or if I am wasting my money and should research more. I mainly liked it because of the price. Here are it's main qualities:
-Intel 2nd Gen. Processor i3 (2.1 GHz)
-15.6" screen
-Less than $600 ($579.99)
-Webcam
-Windows 7 Premium
-4.5 hours of Battery Life
-750 GB hard drive
-4 GB RAM
-Energy Star (I think)
-It comes in blue (this is more for my benefit - blue is my fave colour)!
-It has a Dual-Layer DVD burner. (Whatever that is.)
I will mostly be using this laptop for general use - school homework, facebook, PowerPoint's, a bit of photo editing (like on Picnik), maybe the occasional movie...

32 or 64 bit? That model doesn't show up in local stores for me, so some points may need clarification. For non gaming computers, I tend to pay extra-extra attention to motherboard, system memory (4GB is probably enough for you, but how *fast* is it?) and of course CPU and less to the graphics card; although if you'll be doing a lot of the photo editting and movie watching you may want to not do that.
