A few days ago I tried a so-called free registry cleaner to repair registry errors on my computer. It is called "Free Registry XXX".(I shouldn't reveal its full name here. You can guess yourself ). The registry cleaner is not absolutely free.
It will help you to repair 100 registry errors each time. If your computer contains more than 100 errors, then you have to run the "Free Registry XXX" a few more times so that you can repair registry errors completely. for example, I found 400+ errors in my computer, then I ran "Free Registry XXX" 4 times. If you want to repair registry errors at one go, you have to upgrade the software. Then you have to pay. That's why I said this freeware is not absolutely free. Besides, "Free Registry XXX" will not repair some critical errors unless you upgrade the software.
Well, this is fair enough as a "freeware". The company lets users to try some features of their product and encourage user to pay for full version. This is reasonable and acceptable. However, this registry cleaner didn't repair registry errors for my computer, it messed up my registry!!! after running it 4 times, I can't access any exe file on my computer. I also can not open doc files, excel files, jpg files, Internet Explorer, Recovery Manager..... I can do nothing. I was so shock and frustrated. I really disappointed with this freeware which is even not totally free. Therefore, I suggest you to get a proper and reliable registry cleaner if you really care about you computer and data.
