A number of talented actors are cast on the" Blue Blood", CBS' new dram series about a family of police officer which comprises conspiratorial ingredients. However, stars Tom Selleck (coming back to the regular television series after a long break) and Donnie Wahlberg starring as Danny Reagan unsurprisingly got the lion's share of the reporter attention.
Tom Selleck, who has stated his disinclination to return to television series, explained why this was the ideal project to bring him back. He said that the story was good and it was a group which obviously was to going to need experienced actors. Selleck said that as the lead actor in the 'Magnum, P.I,' he was in all the shots. Both Wahlberg and Selleck were attracted to the family aspect of the television show.
Mitchell Burgess the producer of this series said that as a blending of family drama with a cop show. He added that is what makes it special, the importance on the characters and not so much but it is the blend of both.
Robin Green is also the producer of the Blue Bloods drama series that the subject of this story is something unique and which you actually get to live with cop life with these talented people. Robin Green worked on series like 'The Sopranos' and was interested involved in finding different kinds of characters on this drama series television show.
Robin Green said that each character in this series you almost see on the television right, they are dark, they have this issues or problems and they are antiheroes. He said that they were conscious about that and they did and wanted to find a hero and write a drama series. Burgess and Robin felt it was essential to shoot the drama series in the New York city, a decision that Tom Selleck supported, although it keeps him away from his family and home.
